Description:Temporary 40 hr/wk position under the supervision of the Accounting Supervisor and the Associate Director of Contracts and Finance, employees in this position will be crossed trained in all duties but will be expected to be the lead worker in selected major functions.
Duties:Maintain consumer's Medicare, Medicaid and third party insurance eligibility/information in the electronic database and update consumers ability to pay assessments annually. Process Medicare, Medicaid waiver, third party, and private pay service billings and remittances. Submit staff credentials to Medicare and third party insurances. Maintain provider contract agreements and fee schedules. Adjudicate provider claims per authorizations and submit clean claims to accounts payable. Interact with clinical staff regarding authorization issues.
Qualifications:Minimum High School Diploma, Associate's Degree preferred. Valid MI driverís license required. EXPERIENCE: Experience with electronic billing of Medicare/Medicaid and first & third party claims. Possess working knowledge of spreadsheet/database and word processing applications. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently. Community Mental Health experience a plus. Encompass software experience a plus
